The SOAS Muslim Students’ Association in partnership with the SOAS Middle East & North Africa Society are honored to be able to present;
The Rise of ISIS: Origin & Reality
This event will endeavor to highlight the origins of the ISIS crisis, and will follow on with an insight into the current reality and the reaction of the Muslim world. There will also be a Q&A session to address any questions and comments.
The MSA & MENA society have proudly convened two experts to discuss, interpret and analyse this ongoing phenomenon.
Talk 1- Origin- will be delivered by Abdullah Al Andalusi – Muslim debater and senior researcher with the Muslim Debate Initiative (MDI).
Talk 2- Current Reality- will be delivered by Muhammad Dilwar Hussain – Prominent Muslim Journalist, Deputy editor of 5Pillars.com and frequent contributor to the Huffington Post.
The event will take place in the Khalili Lecture Theatre (KLT) at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) [University of London] on Friday, January 16th at 5pm. Please arrive promptly as seating is limited.
