MRAK

I have been invited by a student society of the University of California, USA (Davis Campus) to present a lecture on ‘Islam and Democracy: In Antagonism?’. The lecture will discuss democracy from a historical, philosophical and practical perspective. I will also be discussing sharia law, the Muslim community in the West, and a discussion on ‘modernity’, and what the Muslim perspective is towards it.

The lecture will be held on 30th May 2014, at 6pm in the Giedt Hall, room 1001.

  1. I appreciate your efforts brother. What impresses me in your discussions is that you uproot the core philosophical and civilizational premise by which these Western values stem from. Since these values are presented as self-evident approaches to what the world should be, thanks to global institutionalization of them, it has become a real burden to question, discuss, reject, and falsify them, given the huge propaganda that these institutionalized ideas are backed up by. Again, I ask Almighty Allah to reward you the best in this life and hereafter.
