What happens when you mock a prophet according to the Bible?

When Christian apologists criticize Islam they often like to argue that Islamically non-Muslims are not allowed to speak or mock against the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and so this shows that Islam is somehow an intolerant faith.

So let’s turn the tables on them in this article, because per their argument, it means that these Christian apologists believe that biblically speaking, mocking and speaking against the prophets is something fine and acceptable.

So what actually happens according to the Bible when some people, in this case young children, happen to mock a prophet? The answer is as follows:

Then he (Elisha) went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. (2 Kings 2:23-24)

So according to what we read, the Prophet Elisha (pbuh) was walking on his way to a place called Bethel, and on his way a group of young children came to him and started making fun of him calling him “baldhead”. Now surely in the world of Christian apologia, the response of Elisha should’ve been to simply ignore them, and live and let live, because after all it’s something acceptable to mock and make fun of the prophets according to their worldview. But for some strange reason, the Prophet Elisha (pbuh) didn’t seem to have that same opinion, and rather than live and let live, he actually called a curse on the children, after which 2 female bears appeared and mauled the children!

So per the Bible, when you make fun of a prophet, you get attacked by bears, even if you happen to be young children! Obviously Christian apologists will find every excuse from A-Z which only illustrates their double standards, had such a story appeared in the Islamic literature, of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) pronouncing a curse on people who mocked him, after which bears appeared to attack those mockers, Christian apologists would have a field day with such an incident over the ‘barbarity’ of Islam and its prophet. Imagine more if the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did this to children!

But now when such an incident appears in their own Bible, they will justify it, excuse it, and still have the gall to appear in front of the masses attacking Islam for supposedly saying you can’t mock the Islamic prophet, when in their very own Bible, you get attacked by bears (even if you’re children) for mocking a prophet.
